After competing a 4 year apprenticeship and serving as a military armourer specialising in infantry weapons in the 1980s I went on to complete another apprenticeship as a tool, jig and die maker. I spent most of my career working in the precision engineering field with a emphasis on CNC in the tool and die making industry.

After returning to the shooting sports in the early 2000s an opportunity arose to use my firearm and manufacturing expertise in producing a locally made fully adjustable aluminium rifle stock. The first product manufactured was a one piece stock for the Barnard model P. It was then decided to produce a 2 piece stock for the Barnard models P and S, this stock is currently being used by a number of shooters worldwide.

In 2017 the manager of the Australian target rifle team approached Macintosh Precision to manufacture a rear sight for the upcoming 2019 long range world championships. The sights were supplied to members of the Australian teams competing in the world championships who required them. The Australian Palma team went on to win the Palma with a number of shooters using the sights.

With the explosion in popularity of precision shooting it was decided to add more products addressing the unique accuracy and weight requirements of the various disciplines.

We will continue to add more locally made products on a regular basis, if you think there is something needed in the market that is not currently available feel free to send us a email with your suggestions.

Please take the time to view the products page for more information on each individual product.
